Investigators seek help finding missing man

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Investigators are seeking the public's help in locating a missing man.

Bertram Weston, 48, of Oakland County, left his home on April 27. He was heading to New York to visit family. He was supposed to arrive on April 28, but he never reached his destination, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Weston rented a vehicle for the trip and the vehicle was supposed to be returned on April 28, the sheriff's office said.

Weston's wife contacted the sheriff's office on May 9 to report her soon to be ex-husband missing.

The rental company reported the vehicle stolen on May 13. It has since been recovered in Pontiac, but Weston remains unaccounted for, according to the sheriff's office.

Weston's cell phone records indicate he has not made any outgoing calls since his departure.

He is 6'2", and 170 pounds. Weston wears his head shaved bald, but he would have a head of hair if he allowed it to grow out, the sheriff's office said.
