DETROIT (AP) -

One of three men charged in the fatal carjacking and shooting of a Detroit musician who was killed after performing at a Christmas Eve church service has been sentenced to prison.

The Detroit News reports a judge Wednesday ordered 19-year-old Darnell Young to 33-60 years in prison for second-degree murder after he earlier pleaded guilty. He also was given a minimum 2-year sentence on a weapons charge.

Police say Anthony Tolson was ordered out of his Chevy Trailblazer on Dec. 24 and shot on Detroit's east side. He had played bass guitar at the service and was heading to his mother's home with gifts for his three children.

Police say the 33-year-old Tolson was killed over the expensive rims on his car. Two other men charged are awaiting trial.
