BENTLEY, Mich. (WNEM) -

He served his country in Vietnam, now the disabled veteran is hoping someone can go to the mat for him.

George Tolliver is practically stuck in his own home, but he would be able to get out a little more with a few repairs to his porch.

"It's miserable. I can't even go walk around my yard," Tolliver said.

He needs a hero. Tulliver suffers from Parkinson's, emphysema and a heart condition. Now his back porch is rotting away.

"I can't even use the back porch. I'm afraid I'll fall through it," Tulliver said.

He said it's imperative that he can get outside for doctor's appointments and emergencies.

"I wouldn't have to be worried if the house catches on fire and breaking my leg," Tulliver said.

He said he either needs his back porch repaired or the ramp moved to the front. He said it would be better if he could get both.

Tulliver's wife Romaine, who is also disables, said because of the porch their life is difficult.

"It doesn't make us happy because he can't even go nowhere," Romaine Tulliver said.

George Tulliver said they are unable to repair the porch because of medical reasons and their bills keep piling up. He is hoping someone will give them a helping hand.

"It would mean the world, freedom. I would think they were a hero," he said.
