SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Four teenagers have been arrested, accused of trying to buy gift cards with stolen credit cards.

It happened June 16 at the Walmart in Saginaw Township.

Saginaw Township Police Chief Don Pussehl confirms to TV5 that an officer working at the store became aware that the teens, all from the Detroit area, were using credit cards with stolen numbers to buy the gift cards.

When the officer approached one of the 18-year-olds in the check-out lane the man took off. Another officer was able to catch the suspect after a short chase.

The three other suspects did not run.

Names are being withheld pending arraignments.
