TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Police in Tuscola County dealt with several motorcycle crashes over the weekend.

On Saturday, June 18 deputies responded to a crash on Frankenmuth Road near Sohn Road in Tuscola Township.

Investigators said a motorcyclist was headed southbound on Frankenmuth Road behind a car going slowly.

The driver, a 64-year-old Unionville man, tried to pass the car as it put its turn signal on and made a left turn. The motorcyclist tried to avoid the collision and swerved, losing control of the bike and crashing.

He suffered abrasions to his legs and arms and was taken to a Saginaw hospital.

On Sunday, June 20 deputies responded to Fostoria and Millington Road in Watertown Township for reports of a crash.

Investigators said a 66-year-old North Branch driver was headed westbound on Millington when she stopped for a stop sign and then tried to cross the intersection and pulled into the path of a motorcycle. She told police she didn’t see the motorcycle headed southbound on Fostoria.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 69-year-old man, was taken to Lapeer Hospital by ambulance.

As on Sunday, police said another motorcyclist was injured while jumping hills on private property in Juniata Township.

The 15-year-old driver was taken to Caro Community Hospital for his injuries.
