MidMichigan Medial Center is getting ready to host the Freeland High School Football team for a special event.

A hospital spokesperson says, " As we have shared with you in the past, the Freeland High School Football Team has been extremely supportive over the past six years in donating more than $53,000 to the MidMichigan Medical Center –Midland cancer program.  We have used some of this money over the years towards the purchase of equipment, as well as amenities for our cancer patients, such as food for the snack shack areas and gas cards for those that have difficulty with cost of driving to/from all their visits for care.

On Monday, June 27, 2016, MidMichigan will be hosting the team on site at hospital's location in Midland from 8 to 10 a.m. They will be in the lower level of the Gerstacker Building and will be introduced to our Simulation Center team and will do CPR and First Aid training.

We expect up to 70 boys as all members of the team freshman, junior varsity and varsity teams will be here. Upon their arrival, they will go down to the conference rooms in the lower level of the Gerstacker Building, and will be divided into four to five groups. They then will travel to each area of the Simulation Center for brief exercises, followed by a learning station in first aid for the treatment of wounds.
