The FBI is on the hunt for a medical school graduate with local connections who may have ties to ISIS.

The Detroit News reports federal agents are searching for 24-year-old Mohamed Masha.

Terror investigators are apparently trying to find out whether Masha is recruiting people in the Flint area.

According to Detroit News, Masha lived in the Genesee County community of Mt. Morris Township up until last year. But Mt. Morris Township police say they have no record of that.

It appears Masha attended East High School in Denver, Colorado. He graduated in 2009.

TV5 was able to find a Facebook page for a Mohamed Maleeh Masha, who went to East High School in Denver. On that Facebook page were many photos advocating Jihad and advocating action to ensure the laws of Allah are implemented.

The profile picture on the account reads “Islam is the religion of the sword. Not pacifism.”

The Facebook page also says Masha attended the University of Medical Sciences and Technology in Sudan.

The Detroit News said federal court records show the FBI believes Masha may be working as a doctor for Islamic State extremists in the Middle East.

TV5 is in the process of trying to FOIA those federal court documents. We also reached out to the FBI who have declined to comment on the story.

Mt. Morris Township police do confirm they have been in contact with the FBI regarding Masha, but would only say that Masha has family that lives in the area and they are not part of any investigation.
