Police: Car runs stop sign, strikes ambulance

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

An ambulance was just picked up from being repaired when it was struck by a car.

It happened about 7:25 p.m. at the intersection of Ferden and Bueche road in Saginaw County's Maplegrove Township.

The driver of the car ran a stop sign ans struck the Twin EMS ambulance, according to the Michigan State Police.

The ambulance had just been repaired and was on its way back to New Lothrop when the accident happened. The driver of the ambulance was not injured and there was not a patient in the vehicle.

The driver of the car was conscious, but may have received hip injuries, police said.
