DETROIT (AP) -

A state office building in Detroit has been shut down until midday after authorities say security found a suspicious person in the building overnight.

The state's Department of Technology, Management and Budget says Cadillac Place is closed until noon Monday after a "security incident."

Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw tells WWJ-AM that private security alerted his agency after finding a person in the building about 3:25 a.m. who made a remark that caused concern. State police searched the building and the all-clear was given.

Shaw says the shutdown was made out of an "abundance of caution." No one was immediately taken into custody. Police are investigating.

Cadillac Place includes a number of state offices, including Detroit offices of the governor. Few people typically work there in the overnight hours.
