LENNON, MI (WNEM) -

A stolen Mid-Michigan auction prize dedicated to helping the less fortunate has been recovered.

The Lennon Lions Club was going to raffle the zero turn cab Cadet mower when it was stolen from the parking lot in June. All proceeds from the auction were going back to the community.

Police said a string of tips led to the recovery after local media reported on the theft.

While investigating one of those tips, a storage garage was found containing stolen guns, ammunition, the missing tractor and trailer and a large quantity of other stolen items.

Police said it is likely the group of thieves have been operating in the area for some time.
