GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two people were hurt Monday night when a motorcycle and car crashed in Genesee County.

Investigators say a white 1998 Oldsmobile driven by a 75-year-old woman from Flint was traveling northbound on Dort Highway when she made a left hand turn to head westbound on Pierson Road.

Police said the woman failed to yield to a motorcycle headed southbound on Pierson Road.  The motorcycle hit the passenger side door of the Oldsmobile and both riders were thrown.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 49-year-old man from Flint, is listed in serious condition. His passenger, a 43-year-old woman from Flint, is listed in good condition.

Police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation to determine if speed was a factor.

Anyone with information can contact Sgt. Jason Groulx at 810-237-6811 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
