DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -

Authorities are still hopeful for information in the deaths of two teen boys who were locked in a bathroom and burned alive in a Lenawee County farmhouse in 1982.

Crime Stoppers of Lenawee County is seeking the public's assistance in solving the deaths of David Ray Cole, who lived in the home, and his friend Timothy Paul Fowler.

Cole and Fowler were found dead in a windowless bathroom in the house in May 1982. The fire was ruled as arson and the teens' deaths were ruled homicides.

Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Ewald says a detective has been assigned to the cold case.

The case was reopened at the request of family members.
