ANN ARBOR, MI (WNEM) -

One in four women and one in ten men are sexually assaulted on campus. Now, a group of University of Michigan students are raising awareness about what consent really means.

A YouTube video posted by the university’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center shows students defining what is consent.

“All of us have the power to do something. Consent is mutual, consent is intentional, consent is a definite yes,” several students say in the video.

It’s part of the center’s I Will campaign to raise awareness of the growing problem with sexual assaults on college campuses. The video is supported by the LSA Student Government and Hillel.

“Given recent events, we felt that it was necessary now more than ever to spread the message about what consent really means,” the group said on YouTube.
