2 teens injured in ATV accident

SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two teenagers were injured after they lost control of their all-terrain vehicle over the weekend.

It happened on Isles Road near Miller Road in Sanilac County's Elmer Township on July 3.

A 16-year-old boy from Sandusky was driving a 2007 Polaris Ranger north on Isles Road when he lost control. Their was another 16-year-old boy from Sandusky in the passenger seat.

The Ranger overturned during the incident, according to the Sanilac County Sheirff's Office.

The two teens were not wearing their seatbelts and were injured in the accident.

They were transported to McKenzie Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The sheriff's office said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
