Crews begin work on 3 bridges in Genesee County

GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Crews began work Wednesday, July 6 on three bridges in Genesse County. 

During construction, drivers are asked to find different routes or give themselves extra time to reach their destinations. 

Bristol Road Bridge

The Genesee County Road Commission will remove and replace the Bristol Road Bridge over Kearsley Creek.

That's located between Atlas Road and M-15 in Davison Township. 

Drivers will be detoured via Irish Road, Atherton Road and M-15. 

The bridge is expected to be open to traffic around the end of September. 

Duffield Road Bridge

In Gaines Township, road crews will also be replacing Duffield Road Bridge over the Jones Creek.

That's located between Reid Road and Grand Blanc Road.

During demolition, Duffield Road will be closed to traffic. 

A detour is set using Grand Blanc Road, Seymour Road and Miller Road. 

The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of October. 

Farrand Road Bridge

In Vienna Township, crews will replace Farrand Road Bridge over the Pine Run creek. 

That's located between Field Road and Linden Road. 

Drivers will be detoured via Linden Road, Lake Road and Webster Road. 

The bridge is expected to reopen by the end of October.
