Double murder may have ties to Flint area

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A double murder may have ties to the Flint area.

Crime Stoppers of Flint & Genesee County are offering a cash rewards up to $2,500 for information leading to arrests in the case of a man and woman killed in their home.

On July 6, 2005 police found Ken Kanehl, Jr. and Pam Barnes dead inside their Waterford home in the 5400 block of Brunswick. Police believe the couple were killed three days prior and it was not a random act because nothing was taken for the home.

Investigators now believe there are connections in the Flint area relating to the murders.
