TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two men were injured in a vehicle accident Friday morning.

It happened about 11:20 a.m. on M-81 near Koepfgen Road in Elkland Township. That's in Tuscola County.

A 26-year-old Caro man was driving a passenger car westbound on M-81 when he crossed the center line and struck a commercial truck and trailer, according to the Michigan State Police.

He was flown to St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw for treatment. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

The driver of the truck, a 46-year-old St. Clair man, was transported by ambulance to Cass City Hill's and Dale's Hospital. His injuries are non-life threatening, police said.

The accident remains under investigation, but police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

Police said distracted driving may have contributed to the accident.
