There are a few cone zones that may affect your morning commutes this week.

MDOT is resurfacing 1-75 through parts of Bay and Arenac Counties between the area of Whitefeather and Sagatoo Roads, near Standish and the US 23 connector starting on Monday, July 11.

The work requires a single-lane closure in both directions during the week but no lanes will be closed during peak travel times – between Friday afternoon and Monday morning for northbound I-75 and between Saturday afternoon and Tuesday morning for southbound I-75.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of October.

Washington Avenue

Another cone zone for you in Saginaw.

Crews will be working on Washington Avenue, also known as M-13, all week long at the 2nd Street intersection.

Two of the northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane.

Holland Avenue Bridge

Also in Saginaw, there will be a closure on the Holland Avenue Bridge between Niagra and Water Street.

This will be in place from 8 a.m. Monday morning until 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed.

Use the detour or seek an alternative route if possible.

Court Street Bridge

Another closure in Saginaw as crews perform preventative bridge maintenance on the Court Street Bridge.

That's between Niagara and Fordney Street.

Two east and westbound lanes will be closed to traffic. Drivers are asked to find a different route.

The bridge will be closed until September 2.

Work also begins Monday on US-10 in Clare County.

MDOT is investing $530,000 to remove and rebuild eastbound US-10 between Lake Station and Gibson Avenue. Drivers should expect delays in that area.

Work is expected to wrap up by August 31.

Atlas Road

If you will be in Genesee County, drivers may want to avoid Atlas Road between Lippincott Boulevard and Atherton Road in Davison Township.

The area will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. for bridge construction.

Make sure you avoid that area today.
