Help raise some funds, and maybe find your furry best friend.

It’s all possible at the 11th Annual Adopt-A-Pet Picnic, taking place on Saturday, July 16 in Fenton.

The event will help raise money to provide needed services for the hundreds of dogs and cats who enter Adopt-A-Pet’s care.

“We’ve had some amazing love connections with people that have come through here. One just yesterday was phenomenal. Animals give people a sense of purpose, sometimes if they need that. Animals give people the companionship that they need to have. You have a rough day at work, you come home and that animal is there, unconditionally loving you,” said Jody Maddock with Adopt-A-Pet.

There will be live music, food, a bounce house, beer tents and tours of the facility, along with some great silent auction items.

They include winning a Chevy Volt for a weekend, a wine basket, Vera Bradley merchandise, gift cards and more.

And of course, you’ll get the chance to meet many animals looking for their fur-ever home.

“We recommend that you get to know your companion, depending on what your needs are. We have a great group of people who are going to interview and look at are needs, what are the animal’s needs, and try to make the best match we can that way.”

There is a $10 minimum donation per person at the door. For more information click here.
