FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

We’re learning new information about the city’s plan to remove lead pipelines.

A recent report claims 13 of the 33 homes that have replaced pipes in the Fast Start initiative didn’t even have high levels of lead.

Thursday, the manager of the Fast Start program responded to that claim.

He said it doesn’t matter if some of the homes tested below the federal action level of lead, because the city doesn’t agree the level should be considered safe.
