FLINT, MI (AP) -

Authorities have identified a man hit and killed by two cars police say may have been drag racing in Flint.

Richard Perry Albrant, 46, of Flint was walking across Dort Highway after 11 p.m. on Friday, July 15 when he was hit.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Before Albrant was hit, the cars had pulled from the parking lot of a business and accelerated along Dort Highway.

The drivers of both cars fled the area without stopping to help the man, police said.

Officials said the stretch of Dort Highway is known for people driving recklessly or drag racing.
