Police arrest man after woman, 23, shot multiple times

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Police arrested a man after a  23-year-old woman was shot in Flint.

The shooting happened on July 16 shortly before 10 a.m. at the Howard Estate Apartments on the 1800 block of Lapeer Road.

Investigators were notified of the shooting after the victim, Shanquaya Alquese-Lynn Hicks, arrived at the hospital in her own vehicle. 

The woman had been shot multiple times, police said.

Hicks told police she was shot by 23-year-old Albert Lee. 

Lee was charged with assault with intent to murder, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felony firearm and domestic violence. Lee was also charged with absconding probation. 

Hicks was last listed in critical condition. 

The incident remains under investigation.
