SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A local man needs some help removing a small tree after a storm ripped through the area earlier this month.

Harold Brackett said his insurance company won’t pay to have the tree trimmed away from his Saginaw home.

“They said there’s not enough on the deductible,” Brackett said.

Brackett was home with his wife when a storm came through on July 6. They heard the tree crash onto the roof thanks to the high winds generated by the tempest.

During that same storm, another tree was knocked down close to the house but a crew that was clearing out a vacant lot took the tree away for Brackett.

Brackett appreciated that gesture but now he’s hoping someone else can get rid of this tree.

The 65-year-old has lived in his home for nine years. It’s not the first time Brackett and his wife have dealt with adversity.

“Our other house burned down, so we was fortunate enough to get this one,” Brackett said.

Brackett would like to take care of the problem himself but it’s not possible.

“Well, I have physical problems and financial problems,” he said.

Brackett would appreciate it if someone could come by and trim away or remove the tree from his home.

If you can help Brackett, please call 989-758-2100 or 810-234-5607.
