SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

No one was injured Wednesday in a fiery rollover crash in Sanilac County.

It happened on Banner Road, south of Eddy Road in Custer Township.

The driver, 31-year-old Christopher Smith of Deckerville, told police he lost control of his vehicle after braking to miss a deer. The vehicle went off the road and hit a ditch, where it rolled.

Smith called 911 to report the crash and said smoke was coming from the vehicle.

When the Sandusky Fire Department arrived the vehicle was fully engulfed.

Smith was not hurt.
