3 arrested on meth related charges

WEST BRANCH, MI (WNEM) -

Three suspects were arrested after they allegedly bought materials to make meth.

A hardware store in West Branch called police after the suspects made multiple purchases of items used to make meth, according to the Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group.

The officers gathered suspect information and were able to track them to a nearby convenience store where one of the suspects purchases pseudoephedrine and lithium batteries, STING said.

Shortly after that a traffic stop was conducted and several meth components were located.

The three suspects were arrested for multiple charges of possession of meth and components, as well as retail fraud.

One of the suspects arrested was Gaagge Vansickle. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine and pseudoephedrine, purchase to make meth. His bond was set at $500,000.

During the investigation two other suspects were identified. STING officers received consent for a search of their Arenac County home where additional meth components were found. Officers also received an admission of manufacturing meth at the home, STING said.

Two children, ages 16 month and 4 months, were living at the home. They have been removed by court oder.
