SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

By now you’ve probably heard of Facebook Live, even if you haven’t tried it yourself.

But you may not have known when they were happening.

Facebook gives users the ability to hide people, share, or not share information with our friends, and it even has a setting that can keep you from getting a notification when someone goes live.

For those of you that think you’re missing out, here is how to turn that alert on. (These instructions are for Facebook on a desktop computer.)

On the menu bar in the upper right, click on the upside-down triangle, a menu will appear.

Click settings, then find Notifications on the left-hand side.

Click the edit button next to On Facebook.

Look down the page until you find the Live Videos option.

From the drop-down you can pick “On”, meaning you’ll get notifications when every a friend or page you like goes live.

If you choose “Suggestions Off” you will still get notifications from people and brands you follow.

And if you don’t want to see them, choose “All Off”.
