BAY CITY - In the annual Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Preseason Coaches Poll, the Saginaw Valley State and Northwood football teams have been chosen to finish sixth and seventh respectively in the league's North Division. Voting was conducted by the head coaches in the GLIAC.
Grand Valley State registered 47 points and five first place votes to finish first in the North while Ferris State had three first place nods and 45 points and sits runner-up. Michigan Tech (35) finished in third while Wayne State (30) is fourth.
Ashland was chosen to win the South Division with 25 points and five first place votes. Ohio Dominican received the remaining first place vote for the South while tying with Tiffin for second with 19 points. Findlay (13), Walsh (9) and Lake Erie (5) rounded-out the last three slots for the South Division.
