LEELANAU TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -

Authorities say two people from Indianapolis have died following a motorcycle crash in northern Michigan.

The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports Friday that 59-year-old Reuban Randall and 57-year-old Stacey Allen were on the motorcycle when it struck a car Thursday afternoon in Leelanau Township.

According to the Leelanau County sheriff's office, Randall lost control of the motorcycle on a curve, veered across the center line and collided with the oncoming car driven by a 26-year-old Northport woman.

Randall and Allen weren't wearing helmets. They were thrown from the bike and died at the scene.

The driver of the car wasn't injured. The crash is under investigation.
