Sheriff's office investigates after breaking and entering at school

SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The Sanilac County Sheriff's Office is investigating a breaking and entering at Peck Schools.

The incident happened sometime between Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 8 at 6 a.m., according the sheriff's office.

Investigators believe three or four suspects gained access to the roof of the school by using an antenna tower. Then the suspects gained access to the school through an unlock roof hatch, the sheriff's office said.

It is not known how long the suspects were in the school, but there was destruction of property.
