FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

The search has been called off and the scene has been cleared after reports of a woman holding a small child may have jumped in the Flint River.

Police were called to the area of James P. Cole and 5th Avenue, near downtown, after a call was reportedly made to 911 that a passerby saw a woman with a baby jump into the river.

Crews searched the banks up and down the river in the area, but said they have found no indication of anyone jumping in.

Police also report they have made contact with the woman that was supposedly in the water.

The child has also been accounted for.
