Hillary Clinton made her way to the Mitten Thursday.

The former Secretary of State and potential first female president hoped to sway blue collar voters during a campaign stop in Warren.

Clinton spoke at Futuramic Tool and Engineering, a company that's expanded its auto supply business into the defense and aerospace industries.

She reaffirmed her commitment to working families and to outlined her plan to create more good paying jobs. She focused on bringing jobs back to the American heartland.

"I know in the last couple years, Michigan has had a high unemployment rate. I think those jobs could be important because it could provide a lot of jobs and not just specialty jobs, but things a lot of people could do," said McKayla McGuigan, resident.

Clinton also talked about getting tough on trade, especially with China, and rattled off a variety of other ideas including helping small businesses.

"Small businesses are basically the fabric of our community. So every dollar you spend in my business goes to the community," said Bo Brines, owner of Little Forks Outfitters.

Others are still skeptical to see how Clinton's plan pans out in the future.

"I don't know how sustainable that will be in the long run. I think it depends how the economy will do over time," McGuigan said.

Donald Trump was in Michigan earlier this week. He rolled out his economic and tax plan for the country in Detroit on Monday.
