FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

The federal aid is gone from Flint and Democratic leaders are trying to peel back a protective wall they say Republican representatives have put up around the Michigan governor.

A series of press conferences were held Monday as Democratic leaders hope to hold Republicans accountable for their role in the water crisis.

Governor Rick Snyder is at the forefront, of those announcements as the Democrats say House Republicans are shielding Snyder of his responsibility to the city.

The first conference was held in Flint. Another is currently taking place in Lansing.
