MUSKEGON, MI (AP) -

A man already serving up to 42 years in prison in a murder case has had 25 months to another eight years tacked on for throwing water into a jail deputy's face.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports that officials have said the water may have come from a toilet.

A judge ruled Monday that Quantay Aldridge's time for the water assault will be served in addition to his current 20- to 40-year murder sentence and two years for a gun charge.

The newspaper reports that a Muskegon County Jail deputy was splashed with the water last October. Aldridge was sentenced in January for the assault.

Corrections records show Aldridge currently at a facility in Gratiot County for the April 2015 shooting death of Elishua Pinegar.
