WYOMING, Mich. (AP) -

Two teens have pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the stabbing and beating of a 16-year-old acquaintance in a western Michigan park.

The pleas were entered Monday in Kent County Circuit Court.

As part of their plea deals, prosecutors will not seek life in prison without parole and each teen would serve a minimum of 30 to 40 years in prison.

The Associated Press isn't naming the boys due to their age.

They were 15-years-old when Michael White was slain in March at Lions Park in Wyoming, southwest of Grand Rapids.

A police detective testified that one of the teens told investigators that he had planned to do it and stabbed White multiple times. White also was beaten with a skateboard.

WOOD-TV reports sentencing will be held Sept. 7.
