FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Thursday, residents dealing with the water crisis in Flint will be able to pick up free water supplies at a new location in the city's Ward 3.

Ease of in-and-out traffic, say officials, is the main reason for relocation of the site from Universal Systems on Stewart Avenue to Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at 4805 N. Saginaw Street effective noon August 18.

“The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church which owns the Universal Systems site has been a great partner during the Flint water emergency," said Michigan State Police Captain Chris Kelenske in a prepared release.

“I want to thank them for allowing us to use their property to distribute the water supplies that Flint residents depend on every day," he added.

In addition to free bottled water residents can pick up replacement cartridges for water filters as well as lead testing kits.
