FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Authorities say a motorcyclist may have been speeding when he lost control and crashed in Flint Township.

It happened Tuesday, Aug. 16 about 8:30 p.m. on S. Ballenger Highway, south of Miller Road.

Investigators say a 24-year-old Flint man was headed southbound on Ballenger Hwy. when he lost control of his motorcycle in the curve.

He was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Police said the man was not wearing a helmet and speed appears to be a factor.

Witnesses of the crash are asked to call Det. Doug Hart at 810-600-3250.
