Police: Man used fake credit cards to buy $800 worth of food

FLINT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Police are looking to identify a man they say used counterfeit credit cards to purchase more than $800 worth of Japanese food.  

The Flint Township Police Department are investigating the alleged incident at Sagano Japanese Bistro, located on Linden Road in Flint Township.

Police said the suspect entered the store on May 31 and June 1 and used a fake credit card to purchase $828.67 worth of food and gift cards.

The man wore an American flag hat and a dark shirt with a star design.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Minto at 810-600-3250 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
