LAFAYETTE (CBS SF) -

A California state law would make it easier for salons to provide free booze to customers but some are urging the governor to veto it.

CBS San Francisco reported the bill would allow barber shops and beauty salons to serve a free 6-ounce glass of wine or 12-ounce beer to their customers without a liquor license.

Those who oppose the law say there would be no monitoring or enforcement of the bill. They also say society suffers too many problems from alcohol and the bill would only increase those problems.
