String of violence leaves several hurt in Vehicle City

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Police say six shootings and two stabbings left several people hurt in a string of violence throughout the Vehicle City this weekend.

On Friday, Aug. 26 about 9 p.m. police said a 25-year-old man was shot on Lippencott near Evergreen Regency. The man is in good condition, according to officials. 

On Saturday, Aug. 27 about midnight, a 26-year-old man was shot near the Dayton and Mason area. He is listed in serious condition. Also Saturday, a 22-year-old man and 30-year-old female were both shot near the 3000 block of Begole about 8:45 p.m. 

The man is listed in critical condition. The female was in good condition. 

The violence continued on Sunday, Aug. 28 with four separate incidences. 

Police arrived to the 2100 block of Devon Lane to find a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. The investigation is ongoing. 

In the 1100 block of N. Chevrolet a 30-year-old man was shot about 1 a.m. The man was listed in critical condition. A male suspect is in custody. 

About midnight, a 38-year-old female was stabbed in the 1000 block of N. Chevrolet. The victim is listed in good condition. A male suspect is in custody, police said. 

Also about midnight, a juvenile female was stabbed in the 1300 block of Waldman. She is listed in good condition and another juvenile female is in custody.
