SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

A 14-year-old is facing charges as an adult for the shooting of another teen in Old Town Saginaw last week.

Tanorris Lee, from Saginaw, was arraigned Thursday, Sept. 8 on one count of assault with intent to murder, two counts of weapon felony firearm and one count of carrying a deadly weapon with unlawful intent.

Prosecutors are charging Lee as an adult in the case.

The shooting happened on Hamilton Street, just north of Court Street about 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30.

Investigators said the 17-year-old victim was shot once in the back, twice in the chest, once in the upper leg and once in the foot while riding his bike.

The teen ran home and was taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle, police said.

The Michigan State Police Major Crimes Unit and the Saginaw Police Department are investigating the case.

Lee appeared in court for a preliminary exam on Sept. 22. A preliminary conference was scheduled for Sept. 29.
