SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

More than a dozen statues that have been scattered across one Mid-Michigan city are being taken down.

This week, crews are removing the life-size bronze statues that have been around Saginaw all summer long.

The statues were part of the Seward-Johnson exhibit, hosted by the Saginaw Art Museum.

Many people said they will be sad to see them go.

"I wanted to get the last photo shot of these beautiful statues. I think they are great. It's sad that they are leaving us today but hopefully they will return,” one person said.

The statues will now head to a museum in Hamilton, New Jersey.
