BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

A woman accused of hurling her cats through the air and into the street may avoid trial.

A settlement conference is scheduled Friday morning for 34-year-old Lacey Williams.

The Bay City woman faces a charge of cruelty to animals after police said she went on a drunken rampage back in July.

Witnesses said they saw Williams screaming and throwing five kittens into the road from her porch.
