DETROIT (AP) -

A woman has been sentenced to at least 21 months in prison for a high-speed crash that killed an Upper Peninsula man at old Tiger Stadium in Detroit.

Shayla Tucker cried in court Thursday, apologized and said she was taking "full responsibility" for what happened last April.

Police say Tucker's car was moving at nearly 100 mph when it hit another car, which then struck Paul Pesola of Pelkie, northwest of Marquette. The body of the 35-year-old was found on the grounds of old Tiger Stadium.

Tucker was hoping for a maximum punishment of a year in jail instead of a prison sentence. Defense attorney Stephen Schwartz says she's "completely remorseful."

The Detroit News says she was convicted of reckless driving causing death.
