FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A Flint man has been convicted in the December shooting outside a Toys R Us store.

Daquarius Quantri Fisher, 19, pleaded guilty Tuesday to assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and felony firearm.

The shooting happened on Dec. 7, 2015 at the Toys R Us store on Linden Road in Flint Township. No one was seriously injured in the shooting but it left shoppers feeling unsafe.

“Thankfully, no one was seriously injured in this shooting but the real harm was to the retailers in that entire shopping district on Linden and Miller Roads,” said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton.

The shooting happened during the height of the holiday season.

Fisher was taken into custody following the shooting.

His sentencing is scheduled for October 10. He faces mandatory prison time.
