Local students featured in safety calendar

The artistic talents of several students from Michigan elementary schools are being featured on the Consumers Energy 2016-17 safety calendar. 

Thirteen winners and eight honorable mentions are featured in the calendar. Students were asked to draw pictures about electric and natural gas safety.

Last year, Consumers Energy taught over 50,000 students across counties in Michigan about electric and natural gas safety.

The following are local student artwork featured in the calendar:

  • Alex Kowalski, fourth grade, Verellen Elementary in Essexville (October 2016 attachment)
  • Paige McArdle, fourth grade, Hill Elementary in Davison (October 2017 attachment)
  • Michael Wright, fourth grade, Siebert Elementary in Midland (June 2017 attachment)
  • Anna Billot, fourth grade, List Elementary in Saginaw (December 2017 attachment)
  • Alexis Heffernan, fourth grade, Hemmeter Elementary in Saginaw (October 2016 attachment)
  • Savannah Bellinger, fourth grade, Hemmeter Elementary in Saginaw (November 2017)
  • Lucas Shelagowski, fourth grade, Hemmeter Elementary in Saginaw (September 2017)
