ISABELLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Investigators have identified the man who was killed when an off-road vehicle he was riding flipped, throwing him from the vehicle.

Troopers were called about 11:45 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 to a private property near Jordan Road and Wyman Road in Sherman Township.

Investigators found a 2014 Polaris Ranger Off-Road vehicle had overturned while two men were riding.

One of the riders, 30-year-old Thomas Anderman from Lake, was thrown from the vehicle and the ORV landed on him. He died from his injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, officials said.

Anderman and owner of the ORV, a 44-year-old man from Mt. Pleasant, told police he was driving the vehicle at one point that evening.

Officers arrested him for operating while intoxicated.
