Teen charged with threatening to shoot people at high school

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

A teenager is accused of threatening to shoot and kill people at a local high school.

Nicholas Rochow, 17, was arraigned Friday, Sept. 16 on one felony count of false report of terrorism.

Police said Rochow texted the threats to two people last week, who both attend Bay City Central High School.

Upon investigation, police did not find any weapons in Rochow’s home.

Investigators also said Rochow didn't make threats against any specific person.

He could face up to 20 years in prison.
