LAPEER COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

On Sept. 16, a 33-year-old man from Attica was performing ‘wheelies’ on an off-road vehicle while on Mountain Drive in Lapeer County, when the unit overturned.

Manuel Felix was ejected and landed on the asphalt pavement. He was not wearing a helmet, the Lapeer County Sheriff's Office said.

He was taken to a Lapeer hospital for injuries incurred when the vehicle flipped over, where he died on Sept. 20.

The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office maintain the reckless/careless operation of the ORV, and alcohol, are contributing factors to the fatal accident, which remains under investigation by them.
