District: Student message containing hateful speech will not be tolerated

Posted: Updated:
GRAND BLANC, MI (WNEM) -

Grand Blanc High School issued a letter to parents after what they say is an inappropriate message, created by one of the students, has gone viral.

The letter says that the Grand Blanc High School administration was made aware of the message on Sept. 21.

The message was apparently created by a student and has gone viral, possibly getting national attention.

While the district isn’t naming the nature of the message, the letter does say the district does not tolerate hateful speech and the situation is being handled.

It goes on to say that at a time when there is intolerance and unrest across the country, the district strives to teach and model respect.

Look below for the entire message from Grand Blanc School officials.
