BRIDGEPORT TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

A Saginaw teen is behind bars after robbing a local Family Dollar store.

Bridgeport Township police said the 17-year old walked into the Family Dollar at 3130 Williamson around noon on Friday.

They say he showed workers a gun, robbed the store and ran away.

He was located by police a short time later and taken into custody.

The teen had the stolen money on him, police said. They also found a weapon nearby.

He is currently being held in the Saginaw County jail.
